We design and build custom crates that protect all kinds of artwork and sculptures — standard or unusual — from repeated handling and unpredictable environments. We are knowledgeable in the latest packing techniques and incorporate the most environmentally-friendly materials.

• Frameworks can be made with special padding and hardware for unusually-shaped pieces

• Structures are built for sculptures and delicate objects to provide support, absorb shock, and mitigate vibration

We specialize in large-scale public art and architectural placemaking and are a licensed CA contractor (CA #1090132). We have the expertise to consult, develop, and implement large-scale art installations and conservation projects and have a proven track record of partnering with general contractors, museums, private clients, municipalities, artists, curators, and architects. Our framers and fabricators work with you to determine the right materials, design, and approach for your project. We design and fabricate custom frames, hardware, mounts, bases, furniture, partitions, and displays to meet the needs of the install, exhibit, and art. 

Framing:

• Our custom frame shop specializes in hand-finished hardwood frames

• Prefinished moldings available, as well as steel, aluminum, hand carved, water-gilded, and plex boxes frames

Fabrication:

• Mounts customized to meet the exact specifications required

• Steel, brass or clear plex mounts which can cradle or secure objects without fasteners

• Mounts can be designed to fasten to display fixtures, such as countertop bases, floor-standing pedestals, or walls

• Seismic-engineered solutions are available

Our remote-monitored, seismically-sound and secure storage facilities offer the ideal environment for artwork of all sizes. Our dedicated storage staff serves private, museum, and corporate clients domestically and internationally.
