Our Special Projects team is proud to have worked closely with Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugimoto and the San Francisco Arts Commission on the 2023 installation of "Point of Infinity." Standing at 69 feet, the artwork graces Infinity Point Park on Yerba Buena Island and serves as both a sculpture and a sundial. The sheer scale required FAA clearance and offers multiple sightlines in the city, making it a new iconic point near the Bay Bridge. Notably, it's Sugimoto’s first major installation in the U.S. and the first permanent sculpture commissioned for the Treasure Island Arts Program.
