HYBYCOZO's 'Aurum'
In the Fall of 2024 Atthowe Fine Art Services collaborated closely with the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) on the installation of Aurum, a largescale geometric light sculpture by artist duo Yelena Filipchuk and Serge Beaulieu of HYBYCOZO. Located in Mint Plaza, the piece features laser-cut, powder-coated stainless steel and LEDs, forming 12 intricate interconnected cones. Our team handled the installation process to ensure this artwork was safely and seamlessly integrated into its environment.
The artists intend that Aurum “represents the origins of gold through its arrival on earth via an exploding star. It stands adjacent to the historic mint building which stored much of gold from the gold rush era.”
Aurum was funded by Martin Building Company’s contribution to the Public Art Trust and is part of the Collection of the City and County of San Francisco.
